Read & Ride Fare-Free Program Extended

CARTA is pleased to extend its Read & Ride fare-free program for students in grades K-12 through December 31^st! In partnership with the Chattanooga Public Library, CARTA will continue to offer free bus rides on our fixed route bus services to the students for the remainder of this year. All students must register with the Chattanooga Public Library and will receive a Read & Ride bus pass and sticker indicating their grade level. Students in grades K-5 will require an adult chaperone, who will also ride free with the student. With the Read & Ride bus pass, the students are provided with unlimited bus rides to anywhere they need to travel – the library, school, parks, recreation centers, museums, school activities, sports events, work, etc. that are within the CARTA service network.
